It is without doubt the best time to visit Lonavala during the monsoon season (June to September). However, even during winters (October to February) the place is equally beautiful- particularly when you do not want to be amidst the crowds.

Lonavala is well connected - either you approach through Mumbai or Pune. Train, car or bus, all are convenient. Mumbai is just a 2-3 hour drive away and so is Pune.
