The best thing about Ooty is to come there through the Nilgiri Mountain Railway. It is a UNESCO site of world heritage. The train is a narrow gauge train which passes through the jungle, waterfalls and tunnels between Mettupalayam and Ooty. It is memorable in all the moments of the train journey.
Food lovers also have a good place in Ooty. Home made chocolates, tea (especially eucalyptus and masala chai) and south Indian food are very common here. The local markets will offer woolen clothes, essential oils and handmade goods.
